ask and you will receive

always thought if you treat someone nice, you will be reciprocated. i have come this far in life, and yet to grasp the true meaning of giving and not expecting a return. i thought it is a very natural expectation as a normal human being, but rather i've learnt it is sometimes otherwise.

there are people who will pour their heart and soul out to help and cherish their love ones, and there are others who will reserve and constraint themselves, i suppose i belong to the former group, always hopelessly devoted once i'm in it.

i guess when you have too much of something you just don't know how to appreciate and cherish it, and take the other party for granted, and often deems the giver's frustration as childish and uncalled for....

sounds like a grumpy old man huh :-) well decided to let it go let it all go, not for the bad side, but rather asking myself not to be overly concerned with unnecessary emotion that i often brought upon myself. be myself and give as much as i want, with or without returns i will still give and move on, life is short and fragile, it is too much hassle to put a emotion price tag to every single thing you give.

do you not agree?

For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:8)

the investigation of things is the beginning of wisdom. (okay i stole this line from confucius.) so here's wishing you a speedy attainment of enlightenment, now that you're investigating what it entails when it comes to the love department (LD). :)

the trouble with LD, is that sometimes one really have to be philosophical about the whole thing. "seek and you shall find" sounds so healthy and promising - but those " in transition" or still "seeking" will find not much solace in it.

this reminds me of a response of the 6th patriarch (hui neng) when he overheard two monk's argument whether it's the flag or the wind that is moving. he merely said, "it's your mind that moves".

so when we find ourselves sinking and soar with each elation and gloom, when we think we fall into and out of a relation - perhaps it's just us, and we the people have the power to have it "don't move". :)

but i digress...

Yes, u may ask but u might not receive! am pretty sure all of us has experienced such, somehow or rather..and we choose who we wanted to pour our heart and soul to, don we?!

How about those who at the same time pour us with their heart and soul?! And don again we, in most cases, consider them as bothering, better stay-away from me 'givers'...

Its all about self-expectation, how 'I' would like this to happen...How 'I' would like him to rapport...How 'I' would like to be showered back with care and love...and How 'I' would like...

We all have selectively poured our heart to those deemed fit beings, and let down if things have not fall to our ideal...

We have always missed the rightful ones and unconditionally made self believe that to be in great bliss with someone perhaps who, in most of the time, only this spilt fantasy...

So the question is, have we choose to pour our heart and soul to those who made themselve blatant enough, ready and wanting for it?!

Life is short and fragile, yes, then why are we still insist only the ideal, things only to fall as we wanted?!

Get that few little more doors arround u open, and u might just find yourself that one very person u could tag him on...
